Read This Before Paying Any Agent for UK Visa Sponsorship Jobs
Recently, many people have shared stories about paying large amounts of money to agents for UK visa sponsorship jobs, only for the job or sponsorship to fail.
Some people have reported paying £10,000–£12,000 for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), and in the end, the company did not sponsor them or the job did not exist.
This is a very serious issue, and many people lose their life savings this way.
Important: You Cannot Legally Buy Sponsorship
A Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) must be issued by a licensed UK sponsor for a real job.
It is illegal for a company or agent to sell a CoS without a genuine job offer.
If someone tells you: "Pay £10,000 and we will give you sponsorship" This is a major red flag.
You should be very careful.
Care Worker Visa Changes
The UK government has started reducing care worker visas for overseas applicants.
Many care companies have lost their sponsor licences, and some companies are no longer sponsoring new overseas workers.
There are also plans to further reduce care visas before 2028.
This means relying only on care jobs for sponsorship is now very risky.
Before You Pay Any Agent, Check This
Before paying anyone for a sponsorship job, make sure:
- The company is on the UK sponsor licence list
- The company has real job postings
- The salary meets the Skilled Worker visa salary requirement
- You have a real job offer letter
- You have a real Certificate of Sponsorship number
- You can find the job on the company’s official website
If these things are not clear, do not pay money.
Safer Approach
Instead of paying agents large amounts of money, a safer approach is:
- Apply directly to licensed sponsor companies
- Apply for jobs that meet visa salary requirements
- Focus on companies that are actively hiring
- Apply consistently
Summary
Paying large amounts of money for sponsorship jobs is very risky and many people lose their money.
Always make sure the job is real, the company is licensed, and the salary meets visa requirements before making any payment.
